The clock is a returning feature from the original four games, as it tells you what time it is at present. In FNaF, the time is always from 12 AM to 6 AM. Each hour lasts 45 seconds in Ultimate Custom Night. The game shows the minutes and the seconds. In order to pass the night you need to reach to 4 minutes and 30 seconds. The clock in this game is mandatory, because it is required for help in Funtime Foxy's mechanic, as "showtime" starts at a specific time, and the player is required to do a certain action at that time.
The clock in FNaFs 1-6 is mandatory just because the player wants to know whether or not they are close to 6 AM. In the first game, FNaF, each in-game hour on PC lasts 86 seconds, making the entire night 8 minutes and 36 seconds long. On mobile, however, each hour lasts 45 seconds, making the entire night last 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
