The clock is a returning feature from the original four games, as it tells you what time it is at present. In FNaF, the time is always from 12 AM to 6 AM. Each hour lasts 45 seconds in Ultimate Custom Night. The game shows the minutes and the seconds. In order to pass the night you need to reach to 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
Funtime Foxy's mechanic completely relies on the clock, with the hour of showtime specified by the sign at Funtime Cove. The player must view Funtime Cove at the moment when the hour of showtime starts, or Funtime Foxy will immediately end your night. Also, Nightmare Bonnie, Nightmare Mangle and Circus Baby will appear in the Right Hall at odd hours (1AM, 3AM and 5AM), though their order of appearance will be randomized.
The clock in FNaF 1-6 is mandatory just because the player wants to know whether or not they are close to 6 AM. In FNaF 1, each in-game hour on PC lasts 86 seconds, making the entire night 8 minutes and 36 seconds long. On mobile, however, each hour lasts 45 seconds, making the entire night last 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
